As an
extension of its surface engineering capabilities, PETRA also
provides multi-disciplinary exploration and reservoir management
consulting services to the Malaysian petroleum industry. This
encompasses sub-surface Geological & Geophysical, Reservoir and
Production Engineering services.
The FFR of the assets and reservoirs will ultimately bring about
change and benefit oil majors. Decisions can then be taken to: |
| |
Operate “as is” basis |
Redevelop for maximum
immediate recovery |
Redevelop for
long-term reservoir recovery |
Redevelop for reduced
production decline |
Decommission |
| |
A Field Development Plan (FDP)
would then be put in place to implement the recommendations of the
FFR |

The overall project management and responsibility for the Full Field
Review (FFR) of the Duyong Field offshore Peninsular Malaysia is an
example of the Group’s capability in field optimization work. The
13-month project also features an optional Field development Plan (FDP)
that is subject to the outcome of the FFR. |
