 Shamsul bin Saad
Executive Director
Shamsul Saad, 45, was appointed as
Executive Director of Petra Perdana Berhad
(“Petra Perdana”) in July 2009. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from
the University of Florida, USA.
Prior to this appointment, he was Executive
Director of Intra Oil Services Berhad (“IOS”), a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Petra Perdana in
offshore marine services, as well as Senior
General Manager of Petra Perdana.
During his career, he held various positions in
the oil & gas sector. From 1988 to 1996, he was
attached with Sarawak Shell Berhad, where he
held various portfolios in the Group’s
operations. Prior to him joining Petra Perdana,
Shamsul also held key positions with Oakwell
Industries and Techno Indah Sdn Bhd, a
joint-venture company between Malaysia Shipyard
& Engineering and Kuok/Perlis Plantation.
Today, his primary role is to develop and manage
Petra Perdana’s offshore marine business.
He is also an Executive Council member of the
Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (“MOGSC”),
which is responsible for spearheading the
development and promotion of the Malaysian oil &
gas services sector.
He does not have any family relationships with
any member of the Board or substantial
shareholder of Petra Perdana. He does not have
any conflict of interest with Petra Perdana and
neither has he been convicted of any offence
within the past 10 years. |
